Tom Middlehurst is Head of Policy and Public Affairs at SSAT, the Schools, Students and Teachers network. SSAT is a national network of schools of all types and phase, and celebrated it’s thirty year anniversary last year. Tom was previously Head of Research and a Programme Coordinator and SSAT, and currently also directs the annual SSAT National Conference. Tom is a qualified English teacher, gaining his PGCE through Teach First whilst teaching at a sponsored academy in Essex. He is a governor of three schools in London and a founding trustee of a new multi-academy trust, and an active fellow of the RSA. His interests include travel, food and wine, art, the theatre, LGBT rights and The Archers.
