Helen Pluckrose

Editor of Areo Magazine

Helen Pluckrose is a cultural and political writer and speaker and the editor of Areo, a digital magazine focused on humanism, liberalism, science, reason and freedom of speech. She is a vocal critic of various forms of critical theory with their roots in postmodernism including postcolonialism, critical race theory, intersectional feminism and queer theory.

Helen took part in the “grievance studies affair” which aimed to show how easy it was to get shoddy and unethical work published in those fields. Her most popular essays include “How French Intellectuals Ruined the West: Postmodernism Explained,” “The Western-Centric Nature of Intersectional Feminism” and, with James A. Lindsay “A Manifesto Against the Enemies of Modernity.”
